At a Costa near you...

With winter well and truly here, there is no doubt that eating clean is getting increasingly harder and carbs are becoming more and more desirable. 

A sucker for a hot drink all year round, I love tasting new tempting herbal flavours but this winter, a slightly ‘unlike me’ hot variation was brought to my attention. Evident in our social media posts, I’m forever at Pret or Costa for hot drinks on the go. As an avid herbal tea drinker, more or less anything goes however, this winter is a little different.

I'm abandoning the herbals, using them purely as natural pain relief remedies, and in its place taking prime position, in the clasp of my leather gloves, is Costa’s Vanilla Chai Latte (extra hot) with Cinnamon Sprinkles.

Costa is definitely the star at the top of the tree - this drink tastes like Christmas eve as a child; warming, sparkly and full of anticipation. Ordering it extra hot is key in this current climate, especially as Lattes are usually luke warm. Requesting cinnamon on top is another must as it blends so sincerely with the vanilla syrup.

No sugar needed, the flavours in this drink are sweet and long lasting and you also don’t get that unwelcoming clump of residue at the bottom of the cup. Whether it's a late night treat or early morning ‘pick me up’, at £3.40 per medium cup, winter has never felt so warm.
