Brunch
The all-american "Brunch".
The day after you land due to the time difference (5hours behind London) you can expect to wake up at around 7/8am latest. Once you do, it is time get up and get out!
Have a long shower, a light bite to eat, put on your lightest and brightest clothes and get to the city.
Yotel is a roughly 10/15minute walk from Times Square (we prefer to walk in such beautiful weather but you could get the subway).
Yotel is an extremely innovative, modern and forward thinking hotel. Coated in pillow like white exterior, you step into a minimalistic open plan reception and are greeted by oversized machinery and pleasant staff.
Head straight into the lift and head to the top floor.
Here you have the option to sit either inside or outside, and for a very reasonable $40 (23GBP) you can eat and drink as much as you like up until 1pm (starts at 11:30). You can expect to hear a lot of talking and louder than usual background music - warming up for the BRUNCH party set to kick off around 12:30/1pm.
Before the fashion show and dancing began we chose to sit outside on a high table for two, with an amazing view of the city. Straight after being seated we were asked what we would like to drink and eat. You have your choice of cocktails : we opted for Bloody Marys and Mimosa's And your choice of various small breakfast dishes, similar to tapas. I must be honest, Pescatarian and vegetarian options were short, but for meat lovers especially those who love pork, you have more than enough options. The oriental twist to scrambled eggs, the vegetable spring rolls, french toast soaking in honey… you can be sure to leave with a full stomach, and the drinks just keep coming!
You will leave feel stuffed, and merrier than usual, have met a varied eclectic crowd, and you will be even more pleased to be in the city "which never sleeps" when you realise it is only 3pm and you are ready for the next party….
