It has become a yearly tradition that whenever we celebrate our birthdays, the celebrations far surpass just the day. Whether it’s a week, month or smaller random celebrations throughout the year, life really is a blessing and we are firm believers that we should celebrate it at any given opportunity; and what better way of doing so by doing some of our favourite things – EATING!
As if timed intentionally, our friends at Hakkasan invited
us to share ‘Golden Week’ with them, the week following my 25th birthday.
Golden Week is an annual Chinese holiday and Hakkasan were serving up a really
eloquent selection of dim sum, main dishes, golden macaroons and lavish cocktails to celebrate all
around the world.
As always, the service at both Mayfair and Hanway Place is
second to none, and the food is always outstanding. The delicacy of authentic
Asian cooking really is unmatched, and the consistent emphasis on presentation
is always impressive.
Despite Golden Week having come to an end, for those who love Cantonese food, or are still yet to sample somewhere that blows their misconceptions about everything being fried or sweet and sour out of the water, Hakksan is the perfect game changer.
